			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Chris Botti is gearing up for his exciting summer tour, which kicks off on July 9 in San Diego as part of Humphrey’s Concerts by the Bay.</p>
<p>Botti’s 10 city U.S. tour also includes stops at Los Angeles’ Greek Theatre and The Filene Center in Vienna, Va., with special guest <a href="http://www.katharinemcphee.com/" target="_blank">Katharine McPhee</a>; the Napa Valley Festival Del Sole; and the Strings Music Festival in Steamboat Springs, Colo.</p>
<p>Botti tickets are available all the way through Aug. 8, when he wraps up his U.S. tour in Newport, R.I., and heads to Australia and South Africa.</p>
<p>In September, Botti is back for seven more performances in the U.S., including the Western Washington Fairgrounds in Puyallup, Wash., with special guest <a href="http://www.nataliecole.com/" target="_blank">Natalie Cole</a>. After a trip overseas, Botti is back for 12 performances scattered across September and October, including a special three night performance with the Houston Symphony at the Jones Hall for the Performing Arts on October. 22-24.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Chris Botti hosted a once in a lifetime pair of concerts September 18-19, 2009.  At one of the most stunning venues on the planet, Boston&#8217;s Historic Symphony Hall, Botti was joined by<a href="http://stingconcertdates.com" target="_blank"> Sting</a>, Josh Groban, <a href="http://www.aerosmithticket.com" target="_blank">Steven Tyler</a>, Yo-Yo Ma, John Mayer, Katharine McPhee, Lucia Micarelli, Sy Smith, and Keith Lockhart and the <a href="http://www.bostonpopsorchestratickets.com" target="_blank">Boston Pops Orchestra</a>.</p>
<p>The historic performance, released March 31st, is available in three formats- CD, a CD/DVD package and a Blu-ray edition.  The CD features special additional music performed by Botti with his core band Billy Childs, Billy Kilson, Mark Whitfield, and Robert Hurst.  The full concert DVD features special bonus performances and a behind the scenes look at the making of the concert.</p>
<p>Currently <a href="http://www.chrisbotti.com/home.html#location1" target="_blank">Chris Botti</a> has scheduled performances through the rest of this year.</p>

<p> His song “Emmanuel” is up for the Best Instrument Arrangement and his involvement in “Yo-Yo Ma &amp; Friends: Songs Of Joy And Peace” is up for Best Classical Crossover Album.</p>
<p> Botti’s competition for Best Instrumental Arrangement is “Hope” arranged by Vince Mendoza; “Slings and Arrows” arranged by Vince Mendoza; “Up With End Credits” arranged by Michael Giacchino and Tim Simonec; and “West Side Story Medley” arranged by Bill Cunliffe.</p>
<p> His competition for Best Classical Crossover Album comes from “A Company Of Voices: Conspirare In Concert” by Tom Burritt, Ian Davidson and Bion Tsang; “Jazz-Clazz” by Trio Clarone; “The Melody Of Rhythm” by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra; “QSF Plays Brubeck” by Quartet San Francisco; and “Twelve Songs By Charles Ives.”</p>

<p>This is Botti’s third and fourth Grammy nomination. In 2006, he was nominated for the ‘Best Pop Instrumental Performance’ for “In Our Time” and in 2008 he was nominated for the ‘Best Pop Instrumental Album’ for “Italia.”</p>

<p>The 52nd annual <a href="http://www.grammy.com">Grammy Awards</a> will return to the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2010, and will air live on CBS at 8 p.m. ET.</p>
